naya mö is a musician living in the French countryside in a music commune, who released her debut EP, dealing with ghosts, on February 21st via RKR Music.

The EP was produced by Bartees Strange in Baltimore and features tracks like the previously shared lead single “wanderlust”.

“outsider” is a cathartic blend of shoegaze, indie rock, and bedroom pop combined into something that ends up being a refreshing fresh thing of its own, perfectly cemented with Strange’s production. The track sounds so fresh and modern, while also honoring so many of its 90s-rooted influences.

Speaking on the track, she adds that the single is about:

“that feeling of being lost, like you’re trying to find your place but nothing is clicking. It’s dark, but it ends with a sense of defiance against the status quo. A determination to make change happen by shaking things up.”
