Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter Sophia Warren is preparing to release new EP, Adesso, the second of a trilogy. It will be released on April 30th via Tigris 33/Universal Group México.
“Static” is a dreamy and melancholic blend of indie folk with a piercing emotive style of storytelling reminiscent of the likes of Sharon Van Etten, that tells its tale with pitch perfection production from Chris Coady.
‘Static’ is the sound of memories slipping away, warping each time I reach for them. It’s the weight of guilt, the moments I’ve replayed endlessly, slowly losing their shape but never their hold on me. I once read that every time we remember something, it changes—becoming less about what actually happened and more about how we think it happened. That thought haunted me. How much of what I’ve tortured myself over is even real anymore? How many times have I let a memory define me when, in reality, it was already unraveling?”
