Italian indie rockers Leatherette have recently returned with “Delusional”, which follows the previously shared “Itchy.”
“Delusional” a song about the “complex emotions of yearning for connection while feeling disconnected from the world around you.” It carries that weight and unease building with a dark brooding atmosphere blended with sharp angular guitars that feels like a gothic blend of Iceage, Protomartyr, and Bloc Party.
Then there is the equally great “Itchy”, described as a cathartic break-up track. It has elements of The Cure, with a blend of post punk atmosphere with a rather compelling spirit about it.
