Jessica Ever is a Chicago-based indie-rock musician who has recently returned with “Ugly & Out of It”, the second single from her upcoming new album.
The track taps into a swell of classic 90s indie rock classics, with a lyrical content that explores “seasonal depression, isolation, and dissociation in the midst of a bitter Chicago winter.” It’s message is delivered in an authentic manner, with some great guitar work that takes us back in time with a gritty nature about it.
