activemirror. are an indie alt/rock band from Aruba who released their album, Though the Night Is Not Over, earlier this year.

One of the highlights of the album is single “What’s It Worth”, an energized supercharged indie rocker that gives us nostalgic elements of early 2000s NME rock where youth and endless possibilities seemed abundant.

It’s a track that stands tall on the album, along with fellow single “August” which has a steady-handed groove that also takes us back to a different time and place. There remains a breezy atmosphere though one that also carries a feeling of melancholy along the way. You could imagine this one soundtracking a great scene on The O.C.

Enjoy a listen to both songs now below.
