Jacob Badiei-Emran is an indie rock musician based out of Nashville, Tennessee who recently returned with new single “HEY (HOWDOYOUEVENSAYIT).”
The track recalls an early childhood memory that is captured with a charming 90s esque garage rock indie rock sound that transports the listener into that nostalgic bit of framework. There’s an old school charm to it that just sounds like a warm golden hue.
Speaking on the track, Badiei-Emran adds:
So this song is about a time when I was in first grade, I passed a note to a girl that I liked that said “do you like me? □ yes □ no” but she made her own box and checked it that said “definitely no” and I looked at that and thought man she’s so smart, she already knows how to spell “definitely” … so yeah this one’s about a shooting a shot even if you miss by a mile.
