Robert Ascroft is a producer, director, and photographer that returned last month with new album, Echo Still Remains, via Hand Drawn Dracula.
“Vagabond” is a cinematic slice of old school rock and roll with a soulful delivery and cinematic hue that feels very fitting in the world of Twin Peaks. It’s a good vibe check and indicator for the album as a whole, including the hypnotic (and wonderfully titled) “Should’ve Stayed In Bed” that features Christopher Owens. The result is a bit of an 80s ballad combined with a melancholic dreaminess of its own.
