Australian indie rockers Double Happiness tap into a dark and moody atmosphere on their new single “Morning Light.”
The track harnesses a gothic blend of post punk and new wave that is full of brooding atmospherics and a hypnotic vocal performance that is perfect suitor for the dark melodies that surround it.
Speaking on the track the band adds:
I had just moved into a house near a needle exchange so there were loads of dodgy looking people prowling around. Thought I heard one breaking in one night and my mind kind of just played the whole thing out. It happened to rhyme, more or less, so now it’s a song.
