Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Zack Keim released his new album Battery Lane on February 7th via Evan Westfall of Caamp’s label Super Sport Records.
“25 Years” is a standout single off the record, one that combines a passionate rock power with a folk rock sensibility, blending the two rock sounds into something that feels urgent and full of life. You can full the raw rock power that kick off into high gear and never once steps down.
Speaking on the track Keim adds:
For me, the song captures the feeling of being trapped in time, like it takes 25 years, 25 nights just to start understanding. It’s the pain of waiting for something to shift, even when you don’t know exactly what that something is. That line came from a very personal place, reflecting the quiet realization of time slipping through your fingers especially as I transitioned into my mid-twenties.
