JOLBA is the project of musician Jack Blade, which came out of a freak accident that he suffered in the sea in January 2024 where he shattered his upper right arm, shelving all his plans for the year. His ten month recovery helped him slow down and reflect, which resulting in a new batch of songs such as his debut single, “I Wait, I Wait!.”
The track has an instantly infectious energy with a post-punk energy that has a ton of various rock influences at its core. There’s a playful nature to it with sharp guitars, lively youthful vocals, and even a bit of a 90s rock influence. Think Courting meets The Kooks. A feel good rock offering that is meant to be heard live.
