LOVECOLOR is the NY/LA-based alt-pop synth-rock duo of Vanessa Silberman and Ryan Carnes, who released their self-titled album in December.
Single “New York Baby” is a particular highlight from the album, channeling perfect pop hooks over 80s-indebted synths and electronic elements that remind a bit of Metric. There are some colorful moments of production and a big vocal performance, but it’s a track that also lets in a ton of emotion and feels glossy and cinematic.
