On Friday Swedish indie pop duo Alpaca Sports returned with their new album Another Day, via Elefant Records.
“Autograph” is a single and standout from the record which has is a tribute to the moments when singer Andreas Jonsson was waiting with his mom for the team members of Örgryte Idrottssällskap, at Gamla Ullevi, at the end of their games in the 90s. It is especially dedicated to three of the team’s members: Sören Börjesson, Agne Simonsson and Marcus Allbäck. The track was released earlier than intended in honor of Börjesson after he passed away.
What a lovely tribute it is, with a gentle and stirring breezy pop spin that has a warm nature to it that goes perfectly hand in hand with the dreamy indie pop nature of the track that carries some elements of artists such as Belle & Sebastian and Jens Lekman.
