Many a Son are a North Coast Northern Ireland folk duo that recently shared their single “Waxwings”, a song they released on New Years Day – and the latest in their series of a new song for every month in a year.

It’s a touching slice of folk indie rock with some gorgeous arrangements and a warm sense of vocals and arrangements that feel like they’re transported from some of the very best of the genre. There’s a raw and honest sweeping nature to the track perfect for comfort during the cold winter months.

Detailing the track they add:

The song’s wordplay on the bird and the wax of a letter invites listeners to step out of hibernation and embrace the beauty of winter. A lively, upbeat track, it encourages seizing opportunities and following the call of the season.
