Made of Shape is the project of Olympia, Washington-born multi-instrumentalist Jona Mor who has recently shared new single “Flashlight”, with production from Jessica Dobson of Deep Sea Diver.
The song explores themes of “missed connections and the longing for reconciliation. It captures the tension of looking back on what could have been while striving to move forward.” There’s a warm sense of melancholy running through the track, blended a folk-inspired emotional heft with tight instrumental flourishes to give it a significant emotional sense of place.
Speaking further on the track, Mor adds:
“Flashlight was born from a night of excessive reflection and isolation, a time of wondering what might have been and wanting to return to where I was. There is definitely an element of desire, but more than that, it’s a song about a missed connection and the need for reconciliation. The intention was to create a sense of looking back while moving forward.”
