Holding Hour is an indie rock band from Des Moines, Iowa, that released their debut EP, Parallel Lines, last month via moth lemurs. We previously shared lead single “Come Undone” this summer.
“Vertical Hold” is a mesmerizing track from the album, with a slow burn rousing nature that features elements of dreamy pop in the vein of M83 with its operatic nature and stunning lead vocals. It’s a gorgeous listing, bursting with humanity.
“Colors Talk” is another standout from the EP, one with a tight set of instrumentation that channels a more 90s indie rock and shoegaze sound. Gorgeous vocals led the charge in the blissful track that feels like its ripped out of the 90s in all the best ways.
