overheard are an indie rock band out of Kingston, New York, who released their new album, Intertwined, last month via Dromedary Records.

“Juno” is a warm and tender slice of indie rock and folk, with an experimental edge that features a floaty jazzy nature under the surface. Careful instrumentation and horns compliment a pretty vocal performance from Erin Barth-Dwyer, that all adds up to something utterly gentle and sincere.

Enjoy a listen to the track below, where you can also find a quote from Barth-Dwyer about its inspiration:

When I first wrote Juno, I didn’t think it was going to be an overheard song. Dealing with identity and self-discovery, the lyrics felt too personal. I also wrote this lush guitar part with the idea that it would stand on its own as a solo piece. But this song resonated so much with the rest of the band, they convinced me to let them layer in additional parts. And I’m so glad they did! Because now I couldn’t hear this song any other way.”
