Maven Grace are UK duo Henry Jack and Mary Home who have recently released their album, Surface With A Smile, which features tracks like the wonderful “Take Me To The Water.”
It’s a gorgeous and lush piece of songwriting that was recorded at Abbey Road, “using a vibraphone left behind by Nick Cave, and with virtuoso drumming from Portishead/Radiohead’s legendary Clive Deamer.” Featuring warm strings and finely tuned instrumentation, it’s a most memorable effort that features a gorgeous and winning approach.
