Chopper is the Copenhagen-based avant-pop/post-punk project of Jonatan K. Magnussen who is gearing up to release their sophomore record, Shock Pop – The Album, on November 1st via Pink Cotton Candy Records.
“Wet Hot Summer” is a single from the record, one that has a vibrant and emphatic blend of electronic pop and rock with a colorful style of production and pulsating dance quality to it. There’s a bit of a 90s influence that seeps through and gives it a bit of an industrial rock quality in the vein of Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails.
