New York City-based indie rock trio Recalculating recently returned with their new album, Do You Like To Laugh?, released via Band Dinner. The band features two brothers and another member who “third stays late for dinner when possible.”
“Candide Says” is a standout cut from the album, a punny reference to Voltaire’s masterpiece and Lou Reed’s “Candy Says.” The track features a raw lo-fi charm of post punk that feels like it could have came during a different era of NYC underground indie and punk and even 90s indie rock mainstays like Pavement.
