YONAH is the project of 20-year-old New York City-based singer-songwriter Yonah Nissim Taragin, who earlier in the year shared his single “House of Damage.”

It’s a track about Yonah’s experience at rehab while also attending High School. The track is a confessional slice of indie folk with a very raw and confessional nature, with a keen sense of humor as well. It’s a track has a bit of a indie folk Courtney Barnett nature to its lyrical tone and vocals and feel.

Speaking on the track, Taragin adds:

“House of Damage” was created by two friends on a getaway trip from the bustling NYC. Yonah and his producer/long time friend Zach Aumueller recorded this after a cigarette and a talk about Yonah’s experience at rehab while also attending High School. Two hours after the spark that was lit (literally), the Airbnb porch turned into the story of “HOD”. Within four hours the song was written and acoustics were recorded. It is a brutally honest and boyish reminiscence of Yonah’s experiences and a new form of expression that he wishes to speak for itself. Hope you enjoy!
