North-Yorkshire singer-songwriter Niall Summerton will release his new EP, Tread Water, on November 13th via Tiny Library Records, the label of the EP’s producer Joel Johnston.
Ahead of its release, Summerton has shared singles including its title track “Tread Water.” It’s a tender and fragile sparse slice of folk music that has a soul-piercing quality that cuts deep in an emotionally resonate manner.
Ahead of “Tread Water”, he also shared “Train”, a track with a more sunny and spirited upbeat nature that has traces of artists like Elliot Smith as well as more contemporary artists like Flyte – with an explosive rocking ending that feels like it came out of the 90s.
Both give us high hopes for the EP and can be found available to stream below.
