Brooklyn natives Barcode Angels have recently returned with their sophomore album, Self Checkout. We previously shared album single “Renaissance” and today we highlight two other standout offerings from the record.
“Much Better” has a bit of a Pixies esque dreamy nature with a polished shimmering draw to it that has some great vocals with a lush quality that also calls to mind some of the recent work of James Mercer/The Shins.
Then there’s “Coming Home” that delivers a hypnotic blend of psych-infused rock with a vibrant blend of vocals and guitar work that delivers its sound with something quite hooky and accessible, yet totally commanding in a unique way of its own.
