Brighton-based indie art-rock band Youth Sector have recently returned with their new single “Primetime” which sees them “rail against political media.”

The vibrant blend of danceable indie rock captures a steady danceable groove with elements of new age Franz Ferdinand and Sparks. It’s delivered with a colorful energy that feels like it could have been plucked from the 80s – all with a message all too fit for modern times.

Speaking on the single, the band adds:

This one was written about how it seems that the media can’t resist putting our most egregious morons on the airwaves. Johnson, Truss, Farage, Trump and countless others have reached heights and found audiences well beyond where their competency should have allowed them and it’s been facilitated in no small part by our media landscape holding a megaphone up to their every hair-brained thought because it makes for ‘good copy’.
