Roma NYC is the project of Brooklyn-based musician Andrew Francini whose single “Evernone” we shared earlier in the year. He recently returned with new single “Nostalgia.”
The song is a “coming of age song about adulting/friendship” that taps into an indie and slight emo rock sound that feels like it could have come out of the 90s. The song captures a sense of emotion and a lush dreamyness that combines a sense of melancholy with a feeling of nostalgia and a glimpse of a brighter future ahead.
Or as he puts it:
Coming of age song about adulting/friendship. Ponders growing up, and realizing that it’s the artists from all of the narrators life that have stuck around through it all. Music is the universal language, as well as artistry. Always great to reconnect with these people as life moves on. New simplified sound for ROMA
