Conflict at Serenity Pools is a project featuring members from Venice Beach and Los Angeles who are preparing for the release of their next album.

They’ve given us a preview of the record with “Summer Garage” a nostalgic slice of dreamy indie rock with a blend of lush production and arrangements that casts a melancholic spell that feels like Elliot Smith blended with The Cure.

Detailing the single, Luke from the band adds:

CASP explores their own summer orientation here, with a calm yet emotionally emphatic thankfulness for the slow moving, hanging in your mind, taking your time kind of summer day: this echoes CASP’s approach to songwriting for their next album (out this Fall), exploring song structures that echo the twists of introverted, meditative thoughts, where atmosphere is as important as what’s being said.
