Earlier this year saw Oakland-based musician Al Harper released her debut full-length album, Promises I Kept, via Take A Turn.
It opens in captivating fashion with “Day One of the Sunflower” a track that Harper tells us that they wish they made it the lead single in retrospect. For good reason, as it’s a golden blend of pop and rock with a bit of a hint of Jenny Lewis in its golden hue feel.
Enjoy a listen to the standout track below and find the album available to stream and purchase at Bandcamp.
