Brooklyn natives Barcode Angels have recently returned with their sophomore album, Self Checkout.
Opening the record is the single “Renaissance”, a steady-handed groovy slice of art rock with a smart charming pop presence that sets the table perfectly for what is to come on the rest of the record. The track takes us back to memories of some early 2000s indie classics, while also carving out a path very much of their own.
