Famous Friend is the project of Los Angeles-based writer/producer/artist Zachariah Carlson, who won our attention earlier this year with their single “Nora.”
“Blue” is a very bouncy and playful 80’s esque blend of indie rock and pop, that calls to mind artists such as The Drums and Del Water Gap, with a natural charm that goes along way – along with its killer pop hooks.
Speaking on the song, Carlson adds:
“’Blue’ is about letting the world fade away, getting present, and going swimming with someone you love. Your soundtrack for long beach days or a scenic drive with your favorite person. The song was inspired by the work of photographer Toni Frissell (album cover) and her dreamy and crisp photography of life in the 50s.”
