Luke De-Sciscio, one of the hardest-working musicians working today, has released 16 albums at the age of 32.
Recently becoming a new father, he has found inspiration with the birth of his daughter, releasing the album, Papa this Spring. On September 27th, he will return with his second album of the year, Theo.
It’s 11 songs recorded in opportunistic sessions over the course of the “first 6 weeks of his Daughter’s life – described as a sound of a young man discovering his fatherhood. He’s since shared two singles ahead of its release:
“Spinning” is a sparse and intimate tender folk ballad, with a harrowing vocal performance that channels elements of Perfume Genius with its confessional and emotional nature.
“Only A Woman Knows” offers a different take on the sound, one with a more wide-open expansive nature with some spellbinding songwriting and a hypnotic blend of folk and alt-country with that still signature devestating power.
