Talk Bazaar is the project of Brooklyn-based musician Alex DeSimine, who has recently shared his new single “DOOMEDTOGLOOM’, the first single from his new album, WHATSPACE?, due out on August 22nd.
The track was written after Trump left office and about how he was still feeling sad even though he thought he’d feel differently. The track captures that bittersweet feeling, sounding both joyful and full of life, but also reflective and with a melancholic spirit. There are traces of Alex G in the way it blends genres in a way that feels natural and very much a sonic creation of its own.
Speaking on the track, DeSimine adds:
“Originally written on Jan 6, 2021 – I was confused about why I still felt sad even though Trump was finally leaving the white house… and this is me sitting with the idea that the problem is systemic more than it is about any one individual!“
