Recoverer is a band out of Corona, California led by Ricky Garvey (Big Slur, Castle Pines, Little Climbers) launched shortly after his sober journey started in June 2023.
Last month he released his debut EP, i still have bad dreams, featuring tracks like its compelling opener “can you come home?” It’s a track that he says touches on “sobriety, amends with my oldest daughter, and hope for the future.”
The track features a blend of electronic and bedroom pop with a 90s emo aesthetic in feel, along with some warm melancholic production in the vein of Day Wave. There’s a hopeful nature to the track that feels comforting and widescreen with an uplifting scope and spirit.
