U.K.-based singer-songwriter james king taps into something pure on his recently shared single “deluge.”

The track is the first that he’s created in some time, and the result is something pretty and honest, with a rare sincerity that hits home. There’s a blend of Sufjan Stevens and early Bon Iver to it, with a fragile dreamy folk sound that feels magical.

Speaking on the track, king adds:

This song was one of the first I made after months of not creating anything, having a broken computer and virtually no inspiration at all. I decided to setup my MacBook so I could start recording songs again and that’s when I made this.
