Los Angeles band The Only Ocean have recently returned with their new single “Two Sides to Celebrate.”

The song takes a look at the notion that you need to be sad/miserable in order to be creative and flips it on its head. The result in a full and vibrant blend of expansive rock and roll that has a sunny spirit and widescreen nature while also keeping a strong emotional currency.

Or as they put it:

“The song takes a jab at thinking you need to be sad or miserable to be creative. You can still be happy and make art you’re proud of. It’s funny because there wasn’t a moment during this session where I didn’t feel happy. Everything and everyone’s energy was positive and focused on the experience.”
