Ghost Fan Club is the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based project of singer-songwriter Tyler Costolo, who recently released his new self-titled EP, released earlier this month via Knifepunch Records.
One of the highlights is “Love Bug” a very 90’s-esque style of songwriting, with a raw nature and style that feels reminiscent of artists such as Alex G and Modest Mouse, with a heartfelt and earnest approach that rings absolutely true.
Or as he puts it :
“If you don’t know, a Lovebug is a common pest down here in Florida. They appear in swarms and can absolutely cover a car going down the highway. My grandma always used to call me “Lovebug”.”
Equally as emotive and heartfelt is the EP’s closing track “Now and Then” which really has a strong early 90s era Modest Mouse quality to it that operates with a fragile sincerity that hits home.
Enjoy a listen to the entire EP now below, which is also available to buy at Bandcamp.
