Alfah Femmes is an “old-wave sextet” from Tricity, Poland, led by Alfah, who left her acting career in New York to return back home and kick off the band.
They’re preparing for the release of their new album Banned from Poland, and have shared its recent single, “Alfah Femmes – “Creative Instructions on Burning Old Photographs (Here’s to All the Women).”
It’s a song about ” womanhood, death, ambition, and regret with warmth and ease” and features a soulful blend of indie rock with a jazzy set of instrumentation and a real warm, hopeful spirit, that feels like a blend of Phosphorescent, Aldous Harding, and Men I Turst.
