Immersion is the duo of married couple Colin Newman (Wire) and Malka Spigel (Minimal Compact) who returned last month with their new EP, Nanocluster Vol 2, from which we shared single, “Other Ways.”
One of the highlights from the release is its opening track “I’m Barely Here”, a collaboration with Cubzoa (Jack Wolter from the band Penelope Isles). It’s a gorgeous slice of electronic music that builds to a gorgeous place full of atmosphere and lush flourishes, that set the ground for the graceful vocals that guide it through with traces of Thom Yorke/Radiohead.
