NYC-based producer Vitesse X has returned with her new single “way i luv”, a departure from her signature electronic soundscapes, and a step into a realm of tender introspection and raw vulnerability.
The track has a shimmering dream-like 80’s-inspired quality to it that feels heartfelt and full of passion and love, with traces of r & b and dream pop in the vein of artists such as Blood Orange and Japanese Breakfast.
Speaking on the track she details:
“Way I luv” is a song about giving your heart away. Loving so deeply and unconditionally that it comes at the expense of yourself, especially at the hands of those who don’t value it. It’s a plea to protect the heart that doesn’t know how to protect itself.”
