Tilburg-Amsterdam post-punk outfit Docile Bodies will release their debut album, Light Will Come Our Way, on October 11 via à La Carte Records.
“Yellow Flowers Bloom” is its lead single that revels in an icy post-punk atmosphere that feels like it’s pulled from all the greats of the genre of the 80s, as well as traces of contemporaries such as Iceage, Protomartyr, and Eagulls. It’s a track that feels bristling with a dark energy but also wide-armed with hope and an uplifting positive spirit.
