This Friday Los Angeles-based band Swerve, the duo of Greg Mahdesian and Ryan Berti, will release their new EP, The Darkroom.
Its single and closing track is a cover of The Stone Roses’ landmark staple “I Wanna Be Adored.” The track is taken to a place that feels like it honors the original, but gives it a fresh reimagining that every good cover should. The psych-indulgencies of the track are given a closer look and given a dreamy and atmospheric reimagining.
