Ski Team is the moniker for Brooklyn-based indie pop singer/songwriter Lucie Lozinski, who has won my heart with her new single, “Thank you Jalen Brunson.”

You may or may not know about my other life as a crazy diehard Knicks fan, so I was an easy mark to love this seductive pop song. It was released during the first week of the playoffs, and although sadly injuries decimated what could have been an amazing run, it is still a track that can be appreciated by all Knicks fans for what was a great season and of course for what Brunson already means to this franchise.

Or as she put it:

“It’s been so fun to watch the Knicks this season and follow Jalen Brunson’s career. Culture setters are rare. You want them in every industry, on every team. Jalen has that, and I think he should get an anthem for it. And Knicks fans, who’ve had to be pretty sad for most of my life, deserve an anthem for this era too. My hope is to hear this song coming out of car windows or parks in and around New York City this playoffs season and for years to come. I’m also officially rescinding my previous song’s claim that the ‘Knicks Suck’. They no longer do.”

Enjoy a listen now with its official music video which we’ve shared below.
