On Friday, UK-based singer-songwriter Bess Atwell released her new album, Light Sleeper, which was released via Real Kind Records and was produced by Aaron Dessner of The National.
We’ve shared a handful of tracks ahead of its release and today focus on its final single, “I Am Awake.” It’s another poignant and well-guided folk performance, with a breathless power and soulful craft that features some gorgeous vocals and even more full-realized flourishes and instrumentation.
