Kevin Rumley is a singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina who released his new EP, VI, last month. One of the standouts of the track is actually its single and closing track, “For Clifford.”
The April 7th release date of the track is a significant one to Kevin, as, “Twenty years ago, to the day, Kevin was almost killed in Iraq (serving with the Marines.) Thirteen years ago, to the day, Kevin found recovery from alcohol, opioids, and heroin. VI songs of healing.”
The track carries a lush dreamy widescreen nature full of endless possibilities that feels like a blend of My Morning Jacket and The Flaming Lips.
