Immersion is the duo of married couple Colin Newman (of Wire) and Malka Spigel (of Minimal Compact), who are preparing the release of their new album, Nanocluster Vol 2. out June 21. They have given us a taste of it through single, “Other Ways’ which features Cubzoa.
The track blends elements of 90s Brit rock with an 80s post-punk sound, even throwing in a spoken word/hip hop quality, with a more dreamy chorus. There’s a confident blend of elements to the sound, one that just jumps out of the speaker in a warm and charming manner.
