Surinamese/Dutch folk-pop singer-songwriter néomí returned with the release of new album, somebody’s daughter, which was released via PIAS on May 3rd.

“talk shit” is one of the album’s highlights, featuring a blend of folk and pop with a widescreen and expansive nature that feels like a blend of Phoebe Bridgers and even songwriters like Imogen Heap in the way it ties emotional cues into both its instrumentation and vocal melodies. There’s a gorgeous meditative sense of melancholy that just simply soars.

Enjoy a listen to “talk shit” below, along with fellow LP standout, “so i let you (15th of june – evening).”
