How??? is the Los Angeles-based project of Alex Tebeleff (Gold.fix) and Matt Dowling (Swoll), who released their self-titled album yesterday via Misra.
One of the highlights of the record is “This is How (Remove It)” a track that blends elements of psych-induced garage rock with a blend of electronic work with tight instrumentation that combine forces to deliver a sound with an epic scope.
Speaking on the track, the band’s Alex Tebeleff adds:
“The process of transforming the music and songwriting was radically open and we went through many layers of instrumentation and approaches in the studio, only to clear out most of it to be left with something we never expected at the end. We took a lot of inspiration from Talking Heads and Roxy Music in this process.”
