Yoshika Colwell is a singer-songwriter based South East of England, who has recently shared her debut single “It’s Getting Late”.
It’s a track that features a gorgeous sprawling blend of warm folk rock with some gorgeous and fragile instrumentation and powerhouse emotive vocals that recall artists such as Laura Marling. As far as debut offerings go, it doesn’t get much more accomplished than this.
Detailing the single, she adds:
“I wrote ‘It’s Getting Late’ in a rare relaxed, almost meditative state whilst sitting and playing the guitar, observing everything that was going on there that afternoon. Noticing the complex microcosm of a garden & how rich with life & detail it is if you start to look properly.
