pearl moth, the project of Italian musician Camilla Crisciotti, has recently captivated us with the release of their new single “Green Visitors.”

It’s a track that begins with a slow-burn mysterious atmospheric opening, soon expanding into something more expansive and hypnotic, with traces of psych-rock and shoegaze, like a blend of Bar Italia, Pink Floyd, and Weyes Blood.

Speaking on the track, they add:

How would we feel if the Moon suddenly had eyes and observed everything we do?

Green Visitors is a song about aliens and alienation and about living under a Moon with eyes that see what goes on in the dark. The cosmic soundscape with slide guitars, synths and reverberated drums, helps evoke the song imagery, while the progressive structure tells the story of a journey among the stars.
