Trummors is David Lerner and Anne Cunningham from Taos, New Mexico who are preparing for the release of their new album 5, which will be released on April 12th via Ernest Jenning Record Co.
”Cosmic Monster” is a lead single ahead of its release that blends elements of classic pop and psych rock from a different era, blended with jangly guitar work in the vein of Real Estate or Allah-Las.
Speaking on the track the band adds:
Cosmic Monster” was inspired by our mystic neighbor’s vision of a malevolent presence haunting our little dirt road. We gave the monster a less sinister twist by embracing chaos and channeling it into this tune. Clay broke out Dan Horne’s Coral electric sitar; Anne struck a gong, which ended up being the record’s final overdub.
