The Slashes are a three-piece indie rock outfit that recently returned with their new single “Limo Tint”. It’s a song with significant meaning to the band, who wrote it after a friend passed away.

It’s a dark and angular slice of indie rock with a brooding melancholic presence that conveys its emotional message with verve and purpose. There is a bit of Interpol and Editors in the fabric of its DNA, one that taps into something with confidence and presence.

Speaking on the track, the band adds:

The song was written as a farewell swan to a friend that passed away. Her passing really affected me, it was written in her perspective, she was saying goodbye.
