Opheliah, the Leeds-based singer-songwriter Tim Malki, who has returned with his latest single, “By My Side”. It’s a song described by him as a “heart-warming affirmation of friendship that reflects nostalgically the deep personal connections in our lives.”

It navigates a heartfelt sense of classic storytelling with a sparse but detail-oriented take on classic folk. It’s rooted in some of the greatest of the genre, with a warmth that shines through and lyricism that carries significant genuinge emotional weight.

Speaking on “By My Side”, he adds:

“A few of my close friends moved away recently and it just got me all sentimental and thinking about how you never seem to spend enough time with the people you care about. I miss people that I saw a few hours ago which seems stupid to say but it’s true. I think the thing I take from this pondering is that I am lucky to have people in my life that I care enough about to miss.”
